Nepheline syenite raw material is in the form of a rock. The issue that should be paid attention to here is that the free iron particles mixed into the raw material as a result of the wear of metal equipment during crushing are cleaned with high-quality magnetic separators. Otherwise, the color will darken, so it is not used in the ceramic sector.
It is used as an alkali source in ceramic glazes and ceramic frit production to reduce the melting point.
Since nepheline is a mineral with a hard structure, the process stage is a bit difficult and it is preferred especially in the production of high-grade floor tiles and granite production and the reason for this is that it increases the brightness of the glaze.
Since nepheline syenite will increase the expansion coefficients of glazes and frits, it should be used in a controlled manner.
